Inspired by the nature around us, we are a family-run and owned business based out of Cleveland Ohio. After 4 years of research and development, we created a motor we were proud to sell and put our name behind.
Our Story
Frustrated with the lackluster speed, maneuverability, cost, and usability of existing trolling motor designs, we set out to redesign the kayak motor experience. We value providing an experience that doesn't focus on our motors, but rather the surrounding nature itself. Our motors work when they need to, and function without the need to gather attention. The motor's sleek abilities allow you to get closer to nature than ever before.

Chris A. Riley
Creating his first invention at only 4 years old, going to a top school in his state, and personally running small manufacturing business in the past, gives Chris A. Riley the capability to effectively operate Glide Motors LLC. He, in addition, holds two pending patents on the Glide Motor system.
